The next morning, the girls wake up, but the room smells weird. They're not practicing today, so they don't have much to talk about. Jim asks if they're having a good time, and they say they are. Jim says he's sorry for what's happened, but he doesn't know if it's the end of the world or the beginning of a new one. He's not sure if he'll ever be able to catch the "big asshole" that he thinks Chrissie is. But he does know that someday, his dad will have to choose between him and the "best catcher" on the team. Jim thanks him for his hard work, and then asks if he meant what he said last night when he said he was "hot in that outfit" . He says he meant it because he wanted to wear the outfit tonight. He also asks if she's had a hot date or something, and she says no. She's just a "handsome, strong woman" who knows where to touch her to make her feel like a "woman." Jim says that he and Chrissie used to talk a lot about girls before they met, but now that they've gotten to know each other, they can't really talk about them anymore.
