About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a description of the various parts of the bike that Gouki has made for the members of his new school's cycling club. He explains that he has agreed to be their advisor, but that he never said he would make them for them. The chapter ends with a soliloquy by Hiroshi, in which he says that the chapter is a "work of fiction" and that it feels more like it now that it is a part of the school community. He says that his frames are based on "chemistry principles," and that he agreed to help the club in any way he could. He tells Hiroshi that he is happy that he will be able to help him, as it will allow him to "experience the wonders of his art" . Hiroshi tells him that his frame is based on the principles of chemistry, and he agrees to make it for the club members. He asks Hiroshi if he has ever played basketball or volleyball, and Hiroshi replies that he did, and that even pro-wrestlers use the road, so it is fine for him to use it. He then tells Hiroishi that he only needs four of his frames, which he thinks is too small for him. He offers to lend them to the club, but Hiroshi says he will only give orders to his "subordinates" , which means that Hiroshi will have to learn how to use the parts himself. He also says that if the club's president leaves, what will happen to the other members? Hiroshi is worried about this, but he promises to help them.
