The sub-director of the palace tells the doctor that it is time for him to take medicine. He says that he has already gotten used to his poor health and that no medicine can cure it. The doctor says that it must have been ordered by the emperor, but the sub- director says that maybe the emperor is upset because his health is getting worse. He suggests that they get two of his former personal servants to come to the palace and serve the emperor.
