The Duke of Guise tells his son that he has a son. Four years ago, Guise was out on a visit when he had an encounter with a woman. The woman had a child, and Guise had to keep the child hidden from him. Guise then learns that the child's mother had died from an illness, and he has kept the child in his palace for now. He tells Guise that he will have someone bring the child to him in an hour's time. The Duke says that Guise's son looks just like him, and asks if he's sure that the woman was clean when he was a kid. The man says that he is, and the Duke agrees to have a test to find out if the woman is clean. He says that if Guise isn't convinced, they can run a blood test on the child. The boy looks exactly like the Duke, and says that his mother deserves a title. He thanks the Duke for bringing the boy to him, but says he won't reveal anything about his relationship with Guise. He adds that the boy was the plan the Duke had said, and that he hid it from him
