About This Chapter
In this short scene, we get a glimpse of what it's like to be in the room with Mr. Clark. We're told that he's not angry at all, but that he wants to be able to go into the living room and have some space to move around. He doesn't know how to do it, but he'll do it anyway. He'll just do what he wants, he says, and he hopes that'll be enough to get him out of the room. He thinks that's a good thing, because he was starting to feel like he had no other choice but to stay in the same room forever. He says that he thought he had to deal with him the same way he dealt with everyone else, and that maybe he just may be right. He wonders what will happen if Mr. Clarke is satisfied that he loves him. He asks if he can return his phone, which he can't, because if he were to go missing, it'd bite him in the butt. He also wonders if he'd like to get along with the two of them like they used to.
