In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist's cat has destroyed the first draft of his novel. The protagonist is worried that he will not be able to complete his work because of his presence. He asks the cat how he plans to use the novel to gain the public's attention. The cat says he will ask for an arrest warrant when the news is made known to the public, and he will then ask for the same from his father, who will then try to stop the news from reaching the public. He then asks the protagonist to figure out a way to grow up and become an adult.
