In this chapter, the monster tells the reader that he's not going to beat the girl because she's a better person than him. He's going to make sure that she realizes that she has feelings for him, and that she can't have them if she likes him. The monster says that he already has a plan: he'll tell the guy that they're leaving the valley together, and they'll have to figure out what to do about it. He says that if the guy doesn't like him, he can slap him, but if he likes the monster, then he can just slap the guy. He tells the girl that he wants her to be happy, and if she wants to be angry, then she can kick him. If she wants, she can even kick him everyday. He asks her why she is standing there dumbfounded, and she says that the guy kissed her, and then apologized to her. He then tells her that if he touches her again, he will throw the guy into a hole full of poisonous caterpillars, and feed him with them. He warns her not to fall for the guy, because if she does, she'll end up in a swamp of toxic caterpillars.
