"Oh, mountain again" , the narrator tells us. He's been saying for a long time that the mountain needs to be changed to a different one. Well, it's already changed to another mountain, and the narrator's got a new problem: he's paralyzed from the waist down. The doctor has told him that it takes a day for his body to heal, and he can't even move his toe, which is the same injury he had when he was a kid. He says that if he doesn't move, it will hurt, but if he moves, the injury will be even worse. He asks the doctor if he can get some painkillers, but the doctor says that they'll be fine. He tells the narrator to run to the doctor's house, because two people who used to wear the same clothes are still there. The twin, he says, will follow him, and they won't need any silvers to do so. They'll just follow him because they've already paid someone to do it for them. The narrator says that the man they found on the mountain is definitely unpredictable, so they're going to try to befriend him.
