Dr. Manette and Dr. Mole arrive at the top of the mountain, where they find the cave where they were both born. They ask each other about their childhoods, and the doctor tells them that he learned medicine at a young age, and that his teacher took him out of the house when he was starving. The doctor tells his friend that he is afraid that he will disappoint his teacher, and asks him to go to sleep.
