In this chapter, we learn that the moon people invaded the United States in order to show off their power. We learn that even the father was involved in the battle, and that his mother was also in the fight. We also learn that beardy was attacked by his escorts and that he had someone to help him escape. In the meantime, we find out that Leika has taken the key to the house. She's now a threat to the Republic, and the only way to deal with her is to use it against her.
