In the middle of a conversation with the commander of the base camp, a little girl named Viola comes out of nowhere and tells the general that she has escaped from the camp and is now in the town of Vedder. She tells the commander that she is here to find someone who can make her dream come true. The little girl asks the commander if he has ever taught her not to mess around with the moon, and the commander replies that he has not. Viola then tells the little girl that her mother called her a cursed child because she wanted to go on to the moon. She asks the general why everyone hates her mother's home, and he replies that it is not safe for a child like her to live in such a place
