The chapter opens with Donna and Lockwood's conversation. Lockwood tells Donna that he has not seen his son for a year and wonders why he has left them so long. Donna tells him that her son, Lockwood Jr., was reported missing by shades. Lockwood says that he searched the web for information about his son's disappearance and came across a message board that talked about abductions by the government. The message board was set up to trap Donna, and Donna told Lockwood that she does not want him to see her. The accident investigation concludes that there was "no mechanical failure" in the car.
