Back at the apartment, Ward Rock is bummed that he can't go home because he needs to take a blood sample. He's also bummed because he's about to run into another dude who looks like a punk. Ward Rock introduces himself as the guy who owns "elektroactive" , which is the name of his band. He and his pal, Sam, are psyched for Ward Rock's success, but they're also worried that Ward Rock looks too cool to hang out with the other punks. Sam and Ward Rock write a song together, but Ward Rock doesn't seem to care. He tells Sam that he has one more thing to do: he has to drive back to the city to buy some gourmet mushrooms. Sam says that's the only thing he can think of to do, since he thinks the whole gang is going to split up soon. But Ward Rock isn't buying it. He says that he'll still love Sam if he doesn1t fight.
