The narrator asks who the woman is and what she's doing there. He doesn't know why he feels like he's seen her before, but he has a feeling that she is waiting for him. He asks the woman to tell him the reason for her being there. The woman says that the seal on her soul is so powerful that she can't communicate with anyone outside of it. The narrator is shocked. He didn't think the seal would block him from communicating with people outside of the seal. He wants to know what's going on, but the woman won't tell him. Instead, she tells him that his soul is connected with the seal and that if he can break it, he'll disappear for a few years and then die. She tells him to lift his "ban book" of heavenly order and learn how to break the seal so that he can "build his foundation first." The narrator says that his sickness isn't "ordinary" and that he never thought anything like it would happen to him. So, he says, he can build his "foundation first." He asks where the women are and where they've come from, and they tell him that they haven't been home for a while. He tells them that he has been "stuck at home" for the past few days and wants to go outside for a bit of fresh air.
