The chapter opens with a description of a path that has been formed through the jungle. There must have been many cultivators coming there, because the path is paved with a tree. The three guys are looking for the "spiritual herb" , but they ended up provoking "the spiritual beast" . The chapter ends with a soliloquy by the boss. He tells the three guys to wait for him, otherwise he'll kill them. The boss says that he's heard that they have some "spiritual herbs" and asks them to spare his life. He wants to give them all his stuff, including the herb, but he also wants to become his mount as well. He begs them to hold on to their stuff, but the guys are too weak to resist.
