The chapter opens with a conversation between Zillah and her sister. Zillah asks Zillah why she is there, and Zillah replies that she has come to see Zillah. She tells Zillah that her school is holding a party in a couple of days, and that Zillah has promised to come with her to the party. When Zillah says that she hasn't heard from Zillah in a while, Zillah tells her that she is busy, and asks her to stay at home and not worry about what other people think of her. She says that if Zillah doesn't go, she will be embarrassed at school, and if she does go, then she will have to hide. She then asks if she is happy now, and she says yes, and then asks what will happen at the school after Zillah leaves. She adds that there will be new doctors to run the school's medical clinic, so Zillah advises Zillah not to worry, but to look for Zillah's other classmates. She gives Zillah the keys to her villa and tells her to come live in the villa after she leaves, so that they can move to the city together. She thanks Zillah for helping Zillah settle down in the city, and says that he will take care of Zillah after he leaves, too. She invites Zillah to visit her brother, who has established a medical clinic in the town of Xingfeng, and tells him that he is her idol, because she refused to marry him because of her refusal to marry the doctor.
