About This Chapter
Three weeks later, Grace is back at home. She's excited to see her family, but she's also worried that she'll be late for school. She tells her dad that she has a ride to pick her up, and he tells her to say good-bye. He also tells her that he's been spending all day in Hector's chariot, learning how to drive it. He leaves chips and soda in the chariot, which makes her sad. She asks him if they're still picking up her friends, but he says that sometimes he feels like he doesn't really belong with them. He tells her he has a panic attack whenever he dies, and that he loves her more than anyone else. He asks her to get a room for him, and she says that's the only reason she keeps coming back. He says that he needs time to adjust to his new life, and maybe he'll get a chance to marry her soon. He thanks her for coming back, and then he goes off to get the heck out of there.
