The next morning, the crew prepares to leave for the International Space Station, and the young men discuss what they will do with their newfound freedom. As they prepare to leave, the men discuss how they will be able to communicate better with the other men in the colony, and how they plan to make the most of their new freedom. One of the men tells the others that he has a message for them: he wants them to kiss his "black ass" when they return from the moon. The other men agree with him, but they are not sure how to respond to the message. They decide to send the men to the moon's outer atmosphere, where they will have the best opportunity to communicate with the men.
