In this chapter, we are introduced to a young boy who has been raised by his brothers to be a vampire. He is now a young man, and we are told that he has a great deal of magical powers. We are also told that the village is in danger of being overrun by the vampire army. The young boy begs his brothers not to sacrifice him, but they refuse. He tells them that he will protect them forever, and that they should not worry because he will not let them suffer any pain or harm.
