The narrator tells us that he loves fei ran and that he's in love with him. He says that he doesn't know the real person, but he knows that the person who should have been gone a long time ago has now appeared at the school. He's happy to meet the new student, and he invites everyone to sit by the window and watch the new girl's strange smile. He tells her that he is the class rep and that she can come to him if she needs any help. He also tells her to slap him if he continues to act like a virtuous person. He reminds her that she'll get cramps if she keeps putting on the fake smile. She's welcome to come and talk to him, and she agrees. He asks her if she understands him and if she thinks she can talk about other people just because she's a class rep. She says that she does not, but she knows how to force herself to smile when she wakes up every day. She tells him that she uses the smile to avoid talking to other people, but deep inside, she wants someone to understand her. She also tells him to go back to his dorm and get over it.
