In this chapter, we learn that Caius's birthday party is being held at his parents' house. Caius has invited his sister, Ruby, to the party, but she has refused, saying that she is too busy with her studies to attend the party. When Caius asks her why she is not invited, she tells him that she does not have an invitation because she is planning to leave the house. She asks Caius to take her to an internet cafe so that she can search for her missing brother. She tells Caius that he has not yet congratulated her on her birthday, but that she will cry if he does not say so. She says that she has been waiting for someone to come and see the real Caius, and she hopes that someone will come.
