A year ago, the prince's perfect set-up was ruined when he fell in love with a girl named Shushi. The prince was supposed to rescue the girl, but Shushi managed to slip through the cracks. The girl, however, is the daughter of a prime minister, and the prince has been meeting with her. Shushi asks the prince who saved her, and he says that he is the honored prince of the kingdom of Yichenling. She tells him that she is the princess of the palace, and that the prince is her father's friend. She says that she will come to her house for her gratitude later. The princess tells the prince that she has heard of him, and she gives him the imperial jade, which is the key to the palace. She explains that the jade contains information about the prince and his relationship with the girl.
