At the beginning of the chapter, the Governess tells us that she doesn't think they've gotten all the information they're looking for. She says that she's always used past cases as an example when studying criminal law. The Governess says that this is a really interesting case to study. She wonders why they didn't find the body of the murdered man in the park. She also wonders why no one has told her why they found the body.
