It's morning in the village, and Polipan is getting ready to go to work. She's excited to be working in a new place, but she's also worried about what's going to happen to the man who pickpocketed her. She wants to be sure that he's caught, and she wants to make sure that the man doesn't get away with stealing her purse. She also wants to know what the heck is wrong with the ginger milk that's being sold at the market. Polipan can't figure out who it is, so she asks the shopkeeper to stop selling it, but the shopkeeper won't let her, saying that it's not safe for her to sell it in public
