This is a locked chapterChapter 14
About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a policeman at the door of the prison. He's been waiting for someone to come and get him, but they've come too late. The policeman tells the other officers to go after the criminals, but nobody does. The police commander tells him to go away, but the policeman won't listen to him. He says he's going to catch the criminals one by one and they're going to rot in jail. He tells the police commander that if only they had more members and more rioting, they'd be able to keep the city safe. The dollar has gone up to 16000rupiahs, and students are demanding that the president step down the value of the rupiah. The only thing that people can rely on right now is coffee. They still have one sachet of coffee, but it's so expensive that they have to share it with others. They'll have to pay a lot more to get the same amount of coffee.
