In this scene, we learn that the gang has managed to find a few kilos of gold, which they plan to use to blackmail the villagers into paying a tribute to the dead king. The villagers are shocked to learn that they will have to pay twice the tribute for the next king's tribute. They are also shocked that they have not been able to stop the police from arresting one of the villagers.
