In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of characters who have been introduced in the previous chapters. For example, in the first chapter, the young narrator asks the young master if he can do something for him in the midst of a traffic jam. The young master tells him that he can only do so by air, as the overland routes are not available. He then tells the young man to wait for him at the international airport. The narrator is impressed by the new hover-bike, a high-tech machine that can be used to transport people in high-flown air. He also learns that the new machine is the latest development in the field of private flying.
