This chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which the narrator explains that he has come to visit his parents in order to tell them about his love for Ruchika. He has come because his parents are very fond of her, and he wants to express his love to them. He asks his father to take him to a cafe so that he can take some pictures of her. When he arrives at the cafe, he finds that his father has already left, and the narrator asks him what he is doing there. He tells his father that he is coming to visit him.
