In this chapter, the Governess tells Caixin that he will break his legs if he dares to fall asleep with her. Caixin asks him why he hasn't come back yet. The Governess replies that he's too tired to sleep. He's watching a horror movie to help him fall asleep. He asks Caixin if he can join him in wearing a pierced ear. He used to wear them, but he took them off for military training. He says that he is 29 years old and Caixin is 18 years old. He wants to know why Caixin isn't sleeping with him. He tells her that he doesn't want her to pluck out his eyelashes. She's wrong, he says. He goes on to say that he often climbed onto the roof of his house when he was a kid to get a good view of the city. He thinks that she's going to fall in love with him, and he'll have to help her.
