About This Chapter
The Governess explains that she's like an "open book" and that other people know her better than she does herself. She tells the Governess that the first impression she got from Lady Juhee was that she was "stubborn" and "styranish." She doesn't know how to respond to this. She tries to find out what other people are trying to do with her, but she can't figure out what to do about it. She's not sweet-talking her, she says, and that's okay, because it's just not like she was sweet talking to her. She asks if she can walk with her for a while, and if she is okay, she can ask her questions. But she'd like to know what the young master is up to, and she asks if he's still friends with her. He should ask her something too. She thinks they'll get caught, and they'd attract the attention of the "bastard" and the "officer b*tch" from that time on. She says she owns the place and knows better than anyone else what kind of a place it is. The Minister of War seems to have a lot of free time, and he seems to be spending more time with her than he thought. He asks her if this is really her first time with him, and her answer is "guffaw isn't" spending time with "me more fun" than she thought. The officer asks if the win and loss are real, and his answer is that they're all for her majesty, not hers. She then asks the officer to grab her today, and
