When Roxane comes home from work, she tells Roxane that she's taking a leave from her job at the cafe. Roxane says that she has any part-time jobs that she can still pay Roxane for her education. She also tells her that her childhood friend, Otto, is still alive. After Roxane's mother died, she brought Roxane to live with her at her workplace in Jakarta, where she worked as a child helper. The new madam didn't allow her to work while raising her child, so she had to leave. She promises to buy Roxane a new child when she returns to her hometown
