Back in his hometown, Papillon tells his friends that he's going to buy them a new set of papillons when he gets back from his trip to India. He's been waiting for ten years to see his old friend, and now he can't stand the way she's acting. He begs them to stop making mistakes, but they won't listen. He tells them that they've already signed the contract, and that they can change the script at any time. Papillon says that they drove him into a corner, leaving him no choice but to sign the contract.
