The monster tells us that he's been living on the edge of the human world for the past few years. He's always been hunted down by humans who want to learn about him and his secrets. He says that he has been caught and escaped many times, but he still remembers the sights he saw when he was a child. The monster says he can't remember his time as a human, but that he remembers the feeling of being human when he went to the seashore as a child, when he could see stars in the sky. The two escape, but not before the monster is shot in the leg. He swears that he will come back to rescue them.
