It's the day of Asami's high school entrance ceremony, and Asami and Hiroyuki have made a ring for each other. Asami is hyper, Hiroyuki is happy, and the two of them are hanging out more and more. Hiroyuki tells Asami that he's on his way to college, and he asks her if she's a vegetarian. She tells him that she eats the same way as everyone else, and that she likes to hang out with a "stud like you year-round" . As they talk, Asami tells Hiroyuki that she wants to see his iguana some day, but he can't figure out what to do with himself. He's too young, he says, to be passionate about anything, and his friends don't have much time for him anymore. He figures that doing something is "better than nothing," and he shows Asami some pictures of his friends' pets.
