She tells him about her husband, who was a bit less enthusiastic about her than usual, but then he died and left her with all kinds of different jobs. She asks chan if he has any idea what he should do, and he tells her that he has something to give her the next day, and asks her to meet him at the library at 13:00. He also tells her about chan's brother, who has just died, and they decide to go to the library to find out what's wrong.
