The chapter opens with Mina and Masashi talking about how they've never said anything about living together after graduating from school. They're both getting married now, but Mina thinks it's too early for them to get married, since they're only getting married a few years after they graduated. She's happy to be in Mina's future, since she can't imagine anyone else's. She tells them to shake it off and get used to each other's company. Mina tells them that they can still have lunch together on the roof of the building, where they used to hang out before they got married. Mina says that she's sorry that she didn't have a scar on her hand when she was tugging on her skirt, but it was kind of a mark left by the kitten that used to live with them. Mina is happy that she has three years to think about the future before she gets married. She says she'd like to change who she is in the future so that she can escape. Mina asks Masashi if he'll accept the graduation invitation, and he says yes. Mina thanks him for graduating, and says that he's ready to go back to school. She also tells him that her other son, the latecomer, was lost on his way to school, so she'll introduce him to him someday.
