He tries to figure out a way to save her, but she's too scared to do it. She stabs her little sister, and the narrator runs after her. The trash collector's dad runs after him, too. The narrator tries to explain that he's mad at his daughter for stabbing her sister, but the kid can't understand why he'd be mad at her for stabbing him.
