The next morning, Ming wakes up early to take the night shift. He tells the girl that he hasn't seen her in a while, and that he's going to take her to the Stockyard to be castrated. Ming tells her that she's been working late all night, and it's bad for her health. He also tells her to stop staring at her brother's sword, because his dad won't agree with it. Ming says he'll take a day off to go home and rest, and then he can talk about his collection of blades to the girl. She's more suspicious than he is, Ming says, because he has more blades in his house than she does.
