It's Christmas Eve, and the narrator goes to a party with some of his friends. There's a fight going on, and a man comes to help chase the men away. The man is named zhiming, and he's from the same company as the narrator's friend, Xiaochen. The two of them end up staying at a hotel together for the night. The narrator doesn't know whether this is useful, but he does know that they were together all the time. The next morning, the narrator gets a knock at the door. He's still suspended from his job, so he can't go to the police station and ask for the arrest warrant.
