The Governess asks the Governess if she's seen him, and he says she looks familiar. He's actually looking for a toilet, but he's lost. He wants to find the Ministry of Justice's records so he can read them. He says he'd be dead if he got caught, so he sneaks in. The Governress says she has a feeling that the current emperor is "someone with bad intentions" , and she calls for the guards to arrest him, but she doesn't believe him. She's so annoyed that she starts to cry. She says she can't understand why they're in the palace, since it's the Emperor's house. She also says she'd like to see her own handwriting, so she can compare it to the handwriting of someone else. She asks if they can teach her how to write, since she'll have to find a way to enter the palace.
