It's too late for the family to escape, and they've already committed suicide. Seollin comes home to find that her parents are very happy to see her. She tells her parents that she's so beautiful that they're even happier since she came to their house. She also tells her father that he's one of the best masters in the world, and that she needs to talk to him about her. He's safe, she says, and she'll bring him news about his health and wellbeing. She asks if she can marry him, and he says he'll be with her the rest of his life. He says something terrible happened to him, but he can't find a way to find out anything about him. He suddenly kidnapped her, and left her a letter. He tells her to come to the forest outside of the city, where she can meet him.
