In the early morning, Song Hyeon and her father, Cai Ming, are taking Cai Ming to the village. Cai Ming asks his sister why she hasn't told him about Cai Ming's return. She tells him that Cai Ming is her sworn brother and that he's hiding a "tremendous martial arts power" behind a soft smile. She also tells Cai Ming that she is his sworn sister and that she'll arrange for a meeting between Cai Ming and her brother-in-law. She says that she will protect the elderly, the children, and the women of the village from Cai Ming. She promises to do so. When Cai Ming realizes that his son is hiding, he and his father rush out of the house. He tells them that their son is giving them trouble and that they have committed a sin by not recognizing Cai Ming at first. He asks them to kill him and punish him. They refuse, saying that they deserve death for their sin.
