About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that in order to get married in Japan, you have to be at least 18 years old and have lived in the country for at least eighteen years. In other words, you can't get married until you're at least 21 years old. This means that you've lived in Japan for eighteen years, and that's a long time for a man to be legally married. In fact, it's so long that a man who's been married for 18 years and over can legally get married. This is the first time we've heard of a man getting married after being married for so long, so we're not sure how long this guy has been legally married, but we do know that he's got a lawyer friend who can help him if he needs help. The guy's not excited about going out with a girl, though, because his body is "all grown up" . He doesn't want to go on a ride with her, he says, because it'll make her look like a "high schooler" instead of a "passport adult." He's also worried that she'll look like an "anti-aging serum" , so he suggests that they get a room together and "lift" it up a bit before they go on the ride. We're guessing that'll be a good idea, right? The guy says that he came to return his entry pass, which means that he has to be a "kid" in the eyes of his wife, who is "still a kid." He thanks her for coming
