In this short scene, Jesse and Shaquille discuss their relationship. Jesse tells Shaquille that he's just waiting for the "spiritual connection" in their relationship, which he describes as "the opportunity to think of the photos, the ops, the money, the nice jacket, the big brown eyes, the bonus point, the snap unus, the mom, the baby, the two and three, and one more" . He also tells him that he can't even hear him, because he wants to see the "kabbalistic trees of life flashing" before he starts respecting her "spiritual needs" , which is why she doesn't appear in public anymore. He tells her that she's too busy with her career and her music to get "fired up" about something, and that he hopes she'll see him next time she gets up for air.
