In this chapter, we learn that Ling is not the same woman we thought she was. She seems to have changed her mind about him, and now he wants to know why. He asks her to tell him everything about her, including her purpose. He tells her that three months ago she and he were kidnapped and sold, and that in the end, she committed suicide. He explains that he originally planned to drag someone to death with him, but that his little brother would have died if he had done anything to harm him. He wants to get revenge on her, so he offers to bring her with him. Ling's body produces a black aura, which makes him feel danger. He promises to come back and take her away after he's done.
