About This Chapter
Mikuri and Hiramasa discuss their kiss. Mikuri admits that he was nervous about the distance between them, but says that he respects tsuzaki a great deal, and he would like to be careful with what they have from now on out. He wonders if hiramasa felt like he did now, and wonders if they could just pretend that things never got worse. He says he only wanted the "nice parts" of dating someone, and now he feels like he's getting too self-conscious. He asks if he and hiramsa have beers on tap, and Mikuri says that they do, but that they feel more like "friends" than they would if they were her grandmothers. She says that she feels like she's "getting away" with something, since she doesn't "have to take responsibility" for her niece, but she feels more like a friend than she would if she were her mother's grandmother. She asks if they can also have smoked tarako salad, and she says that sounds good, but it's not the same thing as "experience everything in life." Mikuri wants to stop talking about their kiss, and says he has a "fulfilling job" . He can go out on dates with his friends, but he wants to be one "sided" about it. He thinks that kissing and hugging are exciting, so he thought they might go further into these elements of excitement, physical intimacy, sex kissing, and so on, and in the end, that leaves them with hugs
