In this short scene, we learn that the girl we met at the beginning of the previous chapter is now named "Chinatsu" and that she is staying at an inn in the town of Shimokitaro. We learn that her name is "Kouta" and she went to school with the girl named "Masa" . We also learn that she and Masa used to play together when they were younger, and that the three of them used to go to the same school together. The girl tells us that she has come to meet her, but that she will be staying at the inn instead of going to the train station where she was supposed to go. She says that her train has already arrived, and she is going to take the day off from work to go with her friend. She shows us a picture of a swimsuit that she found at her parents' house, and says that she would like to wear it to the beach. She asks Masa if she can put her things down on the beach, and he agrees to do so.
