The monster tells the children that he has fallen in love with them all right. He wants them to go around and check for sick people. He tells them that they can use healing and then treat if they need it. He also tells them not to use the river or the wells for healing. He says that they will bring them straight to the caretakers. He warns them that the cause of the wound is still unknown and that they should not use any water or the river for healing until they know what it is. The monster then tells them to get some will and go to the tavern to find out where the lady healer is. She has gone to the back of the tavern and is doing well.
