In this short scene, we get a brief description of the events that have taken place in the palace. We learn that the prince is in the middle of a conversation with his wife when a loud noise is heard coming from the room of Lady Alisa. The prince is horrified by the noise and realizes that he has been killed. He is also horrified to learn that Alisa is still alive and that she and her lover are planning to kill him as well. He also learns that the two lovers are doing a great job of concealing their true identities. He realizes that they are all doing their best to hide their identities and that he will have to kill all of them if he wants to save his own life. He begins to worry about what will happen to Alisa if he does not kill her. He wonders if he will be able to finish her off in death.
