The scene opens with a young man, who has just returned from a trip to Europe. He tells the young man that his friends are getting along just like he and his friends do. The young man tells the man that he is sorry that he didn't get along with the girl he met in Europe, but that he's glad that he got along with her, because she's a "total lady" . The man thanks the girl for being so nice to him, and he tells her that she can come to his house any time she wants to eat, drink, and have sex with him. He also tells the girl that he eats more food than she does, and that she should stop ordering too much food, because it'll be too much for her. The girl says that everyone is kind to her, and the man says that he still tries to be nice to everyone, but he doesn't know how to do it all. He says that it's really hard for him to be around so many different people, and they all have different jobs. He wants to talk to the girl about what happened to him after he got back to Europe, and what happened after that. He asks the girl if she has time to stay up all night, and she says that she does. He then asks her to pay him for the last thing he wants her to ask of him, which is to leave him alone. She says that this is not what he meant, and asks him to leave her alone.
